Aislinn Luna never exactly knew what to do with herself when the time for sleep came around. Ash couldn't actually dream herself, it was too dangerous because she could get sucked back in herself and she had no intentions of doing that. Plus her mother had kept her from the world of dreams. She thought that with a frown. Was she not good enough to stay there with her mother? No. She wasn't, she thought with a sigh as she moved to her dresser and almost pulled out her pajama's to replace the white sweatpants and tank top she wore but thought better of it. Though she may sleep, she didn't dream...so sleep wasn't restful.
Why bother then?
She shook her head and moved to sit on her bed. Mel, her roommate, was long since asleep as far as she could tell. It was late afterall, she could feel all those around her sleeping...could feel herself being drawn to their dreams, being a dreamwalker that she was. Perhaps that was what she would do tonight. Yes, that seemed about right to Ash. She loved to dreamwalk, even though the last time she had she came back to her body and her hands were missing, still in the dreamworld...she had had to light the lanturn her mother had given her right away then to call the rest of her back. It was scary.
So this time she would simply light the lantern before she left. That should work...right? Oh well, trial and error! As long as the error didn't leave her as a ghost. That would suck royally.
Oh well. Boredom won out this time. She went up on her bed and lay down as if she was about to go to sleep, head on the pillow and touched the laturn that hung around ehr neck, one of her mothers but miniaturized, and it began to glow merrily. Then she closed her eyes...and let go...slowly. She felt herself rise from her body, suddenly clad in a long white shift like dress, as her mother wore. The garb of the soul and the dream walkers, she always found herself wearing it when she dream walked.
And then she began her wandering, leaving her apparently sleeping body and her roommate to make her way across the girl's dorms, frowning slightly...she was disappointed in these girl's dreams. One involved setting many things on fire, another involved sleeping with a boy...all so boring and menial. Nothing she wished to intrude upon or amuse herself with for the night. Seems like it was the boy's dorms for her. She usually couldn't extend her reach this far, but the laturn also strengthened her ability as well as tethered her to her earthly body.
So she slipped into the boys dorms, entirely unnoticed...she was like a ghost. And then one did call to her. It was...odd.
Definantly odd.
She slipped easily into this boy's head, easier then she slipped into most. With merely a thought, her outfit changed to a pair of blue jeans with different colored paints splattered on them and a dark shirt that had a color so wide that it hung off of one shoulder. In the dream world Ash let go of her rigid ways. She didn't bother trying to please her mother...she was much more loose and didn't wear white at all. Here she liked color.
And then a giant banana ran across the field she was standing in. Well huh.
She had to laugh when she saw what was going on here. Her...well her cousin of sorts seemed to be chasing a giant banana...how....odd. And there seemed to be some sort of mini-mushroom army following him. She sat on the chair that appeared there as soon as she thougth about it. The dreamworld was Ash's play thing. She could do as she pleased to it. She poofed up a cage to capture the little army that was chasing the boy. Perhaps she could get him to talk to her? One Demi to another...he was Fai Rea's son afterall...her cousin of sorts.
Or she could just screw with his dream. Which ever came first.
