If you knew what was good for you....
Adelaide walked into the rec room and immediately went over to a punching bag and started stretching. Today she wanted to work out and that's what she was going to do. She knew one style of fighting, and that was boxing. Today she was wearing a red sports bra and black shorts, the tattoo that started on her forehead twisted and turned down her temples, to her jaw, then down to her neck and then down to her shoulders, down her back to her lower back, where the feather Kalona Marked her with rested.
She had her golden brown hair in a high ponytail, making her hair end around her upper back. It curled and waved into itself, it wasn't knotty, just looked like a curly mess. She finished stretching and wrapped her hands in tape, Kgosi sat at her feet and licked his paws. The King Cheetah was happy here, and he liked staying with Adelaide at the House of Night. She patted his head once and then finished taping her hands with the black tape. Contrary to what her outlook was, she didn't like siding with Kalona. In fact she just wished she could be a blue vampyre instead, maybe the tattoo's she had would look pretty instead of just a black..mess.
She punched the bag, careful not to use her strength to break it, and kept punching, adding a kick or two to turn it into kick boxing. She was unaware of other fledglings entering the room. Ha, it wasn't long ago that she was one of them, but she preferred being a vampyre much more to being a fledgling. She had more power and she could leave the House if she wanted to. In fact, she did.
She was on her way to Africa when Kalona took over the House, he asked all Black vampyres to join him and she did, unwillingly. She had a strong connection to him, and she hated it. She thanked the goddess that...No, she thanked whoever was a higher power that she had her affinity. If he touched her, haha! He was in for a rude awakening!
Kgosi growled and Adelaide stopped punching the bag, making it stop moving. She looked to where her king was looking and she sighed. A Raven Mocker entered the room. She started punching again, using a bit more strength in her hits.
WHAM! One Raven, WHAM! Two Ravens, WHAM! Three Ravens down. That's what she kept telling herself. She saw her affinity flash before her eyes and saw the Raven Mockers aura, a dark brown. Not good, she better not touch him, he'd get a bad burn. In a way she had many affinities, and she wondered why. Most vampyres and fledglings had only one affinity, sometimes they had such minor affinities that they didn't even know they had them. She found hers when she found her father.
That son of a bitch. He just let her mother die. It was like he murdered her himself, even though she knew it was the cancer, but he did nothing about it. She punched the bag again and it flew off the stand, landing in a heap a few yards away. She sighed and walked over to get it, picking it up with one hand she put it back on the hook, took off the tape around her hands and looked at Kgosi. "I guess that's enough for one day on boxing, how about jump rope?" Kgosi purred and walked over to a jump rope rack, he then brought back a black one for her. She patted his head and took the rope, then started jump roping, getting her heart rate up and increasing the sweat already on her brow. She stopped soon when she saw someone staring at her.
"Hey! You, yea I'm talking to you! What are you doing? I'm not putting on a show like the Ferret." She said, grabbing a 50 pound weight and started working her biceps. She may be a vampyre already, but in order to keep on Kalona's good side, he wanted her to be in her best physical condition, plus, he liked women who were fit, not that it mattered to her, if he touched her he'd just get hurt.
..... You'd stay away...Far away.
