Riviera, had been bored; and that was never good for anyone.
And so, with a little help from Tony (the cheeky bastard), she'd opened a little.. business. Nothing extravagant, nothing too out there, but enough to earn her a little cash. Things were going well--that is, until, a certain blue fledgling called Lightning Strife had stormed into her room, hand on hip, and smirk at the ready.
"Two tickets to Italy, kid. And make it quick."
She didn't quite know how to react.
She offered no payment, but Riviera could hardly say no; not when she'd told (well, threatened) her that Lightning would fuck up every single piece of technology that she owned if she didn't comply. So, rather grudgingly, the girl had done what she needed to do.
Ten minutes later -- airport defense walls were hardly CODIS -- and the tickets were sent.
Riviera had naively expected a thank you, sorry for before, but somehow, she didn't think that that was the girl's style.
The brunette, sunglasses pushed to the top of her head, sat with one foot tapping impatiently on the clean white floor, elbow on the arm rest and chin in hand, two tickets in the other.
He was late.
Lightning, with a roll of her eyes, stood, grabbing the handle of her standard issue black suitcase, and began making her way to the check out, one hand digging into her jeans to fish out her phone. After a moment's fumbling, the girl managed to dial in Colby's number, shoving it next to her ear. It rang eight times, before she hung up.
Eyes narrowed, she shoved the phone back into her pocket.
She'd invited Colby because he was Miyuki's boyfriend, therefore, making him somewhat trustworthy. She figured, that since Miyuki seemed to think he was good enough for her, that he was good enough for the trip.
But most importantly, she'd invited Colby because she needed a Vampyre for the journey (otherwise she'd die, and, to be perfectly honest, she quite wanted to live, as shitty as her life may be), and he was the only one she knew--or, er, sort of knew. To say that Lightning had dragged Colby to attend the trip was quite the understatement.
Besides, Miyuki had fucked off to Japan, so she'd figured he'd need some time to clear his head.
And of course, the dying bit. Always the dying bit.
But never mind; the point was, the man was late.
I swear to god, she thought, if we miss the flight, boyfriend or not, I'll skin him alive. Lightning did not go through the trouble of threatening some chick for the tickets for nothing.
A few minutes -- and many furious thoughts -- later, darkly lined orbs widened as they glimpsed the figure of a man (a Vampyre, to be correct) loom, into view, before narrowing just as quickly. Throwing him a haughty look, she snarled a, "You're late," threw him his ticket and walked to the check out without a second glance.
NOTES: Oh jeez. Watching HSM 2 didn't exactly help the muse lfmao. The post is short and shit, but idc cuz i'm excited for the fun stuff to begin~~~
