Raine was in such a happy mood. Why? Well there were a few reasons. One of which being that Raine was almost always in a happy mood. That was just the way that she liked to be. Happy. It was the way that she was, it was the way she wanted to live her life! She giggled a bit. But there was actually a reason for her happiness right now beyond her usual scheme of being happy. And that reason was her bra.
That may seem like an odd reason for anyone else, but for Raine it was kinda obsurdedly normal somehow. She just was odd like that, it was expected by now. Oh well, she was happy being the odd child that she was. A wide grin split across her face when she thought about it. She was normal when she was odd, who else could say that? Well...she stopped and realized she could think of a few people that actually fit that mold around here, and she even knew a few of them which was weird for Raine that didn’t always make a lot of friends all the time. She did! Just not all the time because most people couldn’t handle her perky happy self.
And then some people could. Like Seph, her best friend. They were such opposites that most people didn’t expect them to be friends, but didn’t they say that opposites attracted? Well that was certainly true for the two of them. They were entirely opposite but they were still two of a kind, close as hell and happily that way. Even though said best friend was currently off pretending she wasn’t looking for the boy she looked while looking for him at the same time. Raine found this funny…mostly because it was. Duh.
Anyway, back to the reason that she was happy. Her bra. She had just gotten out to get new dance things because her old stuff was a bit worn down, and then she had come across this pretty little thing. It was neon green, which was the best part, but it got better. It also had bright blue lace sheer over the green, making it the most funky bra that Raine had ever seen, both for its color and for the fact that it was girly because of the lace but wacky because of the color. It was just like her, and that made her love it. So much.
Which was why she was currently dancing about her room without a shirt and with it on. Raine didn’t have the biggest bust, but she was not tiny in that department either, she was nice and right in the middle, perfect for a dancer if you asked her. Which most people didn’t because she had a boyfriend, but oh well! That was a good thing, wasn’t it? She wasn’t sure she really cared one way or the other about that little tid bit. Anyway, there was another reason she really liked this adorable little bra.
Because she had a matching pair of shorts, unintentionally. In the same shade of blue as the lace, the fabric was slightly short but made of a nice jersey material that she liked, and in the same green they said WILD across the butt, because that was what Raine was without a doubt, wild. Anyone that doubted that really needed to get their eyes checked or something like that. Because she was pretty damn sure that she was one of the most wild girls around this place.
So, despite the fact that Raine rarely got any amount of sleep, she always had a lot of energy. And was displaying this fact in the most vibrant way possible. She was dancing. That was what she did, she danced. Exhausted or not, barely any sleep or not, Raine danced. She had the room to herself, her blinds were closed to keep out any peeping toms, and she was dancing. That was what she had practically been born to do and anyone that tried to stop her from dancing, especially after the accident that had taken her mother and sister’s life, would have another thing coming because she never intended to stop, not as long as she had breath in her body, even if she was exhausted. She would dance.
She paused, seeing herself in the mirror and frowned a little. Despite the two tattoos on her hips, she could still see each and every one of her scars. She knew it was impossible to see the angry red scars on her hips, both due to Easton’s handywork with his two girls saying laugh now cry later and with her shooting stars on the other hips, but she still saw them. And it was impossible to miss the white scars that marred her arms and the red ones that played among the white from burns from the same accident. She then caught her eyes in the mirror and saw that her storm colored eyes were sad.
No.
Oh no.
She didn’t do sad anymore.
Instead, with a determined look, she pulled her wavey white blonde hair into a bun, showing off the black dyed hair underneath, and nodded a bit, changing the song that was currently blasting on her iPod to a happier one and launching into another wild dance about her room. She would be happy because Raine always refused to be sad. She wanted to never frown again if she could help it, and she only cried when she was certain that no one, not even Seph, could see her. So no, she would be her wild self and dance about in her pretty, wacky new bra and shorts and amuse herself until she decided she could crash. This was what happened on days she didn’t have dance, she decided she needed to dance anyway!
No tears, music was too important for that, happy was too important for that. She would be happy. She would. She wouldn’t cry.

I just want to celebrate another day of livin', I just want to celebrate another day of life! I put my faith in the people, But the people let me down. So I turned the other way, And I carry on, anyhow. That's why I'm telling you!
.xXx. Justin didn’t know how he always ended up in these situations. No matter how hard he tried, he never failed to get caught in some awkward, uncomfortable, or just plain retarded situation. Was it his luck? Maybe. Personally, Justin figured he was just destined to end up in the worst place possible. Hell, it felt like the universe was against him. The Red Fledgling stood still, eyes wide and staring blankly at the sight before him. Kay, so that was totally not expected. Justin brought his eyes up to Raine’s face, slight shock written across his features. But, what had gotten him so worked up, might you ask? Boobs. In a green and blue, pretty narly-looking, braw. But that was beside the point. Just minutes ago, he’d been jogging over towards the Girl’s Dorms in hopes to drag Raine to do something entertaining with him. Most of his friends were busy, and although Justin was pretty content with being alone, he’d totally been way too hyper to be able to sit still. So, he’d come up with the fantastic plan to bound over, and knock on Raine’s door. An innocent plan enough, sure. But now, as she opened the door, he was faced with her and her boobs. He just stood there, completely speechless as to what he should do in this situation. Was this considered cheating? No, no. It couldn’t be, right? Justin’s brow creased slightly in concentration, as he thought about it. No, this was more of an... accident? Rape, but backwards and without the actual... rape? That didn’t make much sense, did it? Justin let out a small sigh. Oh! It was exactly the same as when you hugged a girl with really big breasts. Like, you don’t want to come close all up against those, but she’s just so intent on having a hug. Y’know? Then it’s just awkward. But still, you have no choice. Well, you do. But that’s beside the point. Justin was just confusing himself now. He paused, going to say something, before stopping, and leaning forwards slightly to whisper to her. “Raine! I think you forgot a shiiirt!” He whispered, in his loud, absolutely non-quiet whisper. His expression was one of pure urgency, and even as he leaned close to whisper to her, his body was still as far as it could be from the sight. Nothing against Raine, or her boobs for that matter, but Justin was just... No. He wasn’t a very... sexually driven person. Yeah, that works. Justin, in fact, was very much opposite. He pretty much feared anything sexually-related. Not for any good reason aside from insecurities, either. He was just born special. Maybe that’s why Raine walked to the door without bothering to put a shirt on? She knew he wouldn’t attempt to pounce on her. Right? Right. That had to be it. Still though, Justin was getting slightly worked up just sitting here. I mean, what if someone saw? Him with a girl with no shirt on? That could be bad, right? But, if Justin decided to get all scared and run into her room, pulling her with him, well that would be way worse. Ohgod. Life is so difficult. Justin, after a moment, covered his eyes with both hands, much like a child would when trying to hide from someone. “Please--put them away.” He said, his voice urgent, but still quiet. Seriously, he might fricken shit his pants or something soon. Hah, just kidding. “I like the colors though.” He added with a small smile. What? He could say that. He wasn’t flirting—Justin was just... well, he liked bright colors. The bra was just asking to be looked at! Ohgod, he was a bad person, wasn’t he? Justin coughed, as if to cover up his comment, no matter how delayed the cough was. Ohwell. Maybe not everyone would have heard? Yes, that’s right! Not many people were mulling around yet. Okay, that’s good. Justin sighed. He swore, one day he was going to give himself a heart attack. Well, I can't be bothered with sorrow, And I can't be bothered with hate, no, no! I'm using up my time by feeling fine, every day, That's why I'm telling you I just want to celebrate! Words: 761 Muse: Alright Notes: Ahaa, he's a spazz. Sorry if this fail, mother dearest! When was Raine not all happy and bouncy and dancing? Wait no, don’t answer that question. Raine did get sad sometimes after all. It wouldn’t be normal if she didn’t. Everyone felt sad, or upset, every once in a while. Raine tried to push that “every once in a while” as far back and away from herself as she could at all times though. She didn’t want to be upset. She wanted to be happy, and bouncing, and hyper, and excited. She didn’t want to be all gloomy. That was why her tattoo was totally perfect for her. Laugh now, Cry later. Yeah, that was completely perfect. She was exactly like that.
Anyway, to get back on the topic rather than bouncing all around it like she often tended to do….Raine was bouncing around her room in nothing more than an epic neon green and blue lace bra, and shorts that matched the bra. And this didn’t bother her in the slightest. She thought the bra was epic and was determined to show it off! Not that she could go prancing around the House in just the bra and shorts, that would not end well. Hell, it would probably just attract Kalona’s attention which she did not want.
As it was, she was just showing it off for herself. Seph was out, she didn’t know where but that was okay. Even if Seph was in, Raine would have been bouncing about like this. Espeically then really because then she would have someone to show it off to!
She was amusing herself until the fact that she had been awake for so long and dancing through it all hit her and made her crash. It would probably be a few hours until then though, but that was okay. She scooped up her pretty little Nightmare who did the kitten version of a sigh, and danced him about with her with a giggle. But then her door was getting knocked on! Without a second thought to otherwise, or about probably changing into something more decent, she bounded over to the door and opened it, grinning when she saw who was there. Justin was her buddy, but he was also friends with Sephora her roommate, so Raine wanted to check and see who he was here to see. ”Hey Justin! Seph’s not here if you were looking for her” she said before he started acting all weird.
He seemed entirely dumbfounded. And then he whispered and she laughed, her usual bubbly laugh. And shook her head. Was that really freaking him out? Most dudes would be staring for different reasons but he seemed to go ten shades paler after she opened the door. ”I didn’t forget, I was amusing myself. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s just a bra silly. You need to get out more. Is it really bothering you that much?” she said, babbling away like she usually did when he said just a few simple words. She coildn’t help it. Raine usually came up with ten words when one would have done just fine. It made her seem a little…spacey. Even though that wasn’t true! Raine considered herself very smart.
It got worse when she didn’t get much sleep. SO it had been really bad lately.
He covered his eyes with both hands and she burst out laughing again. Honestly, this was part of the reason she liked hanging out with Justin so much. He was just as goofy as she was and she had a lot of fun with them. They were both hyper children. And he was such a flailer. SO was she honestly, but not in the physical sense of course. She couldn’t be with her affinity. Her affinity was for grace, so she couldn’t be wacky and flail about even if she wanted to, which she did sometimes. Him covering his eyes with his hands like that was so cute and nuts though, it was enough to make her burst out laughing before shaking her head and bouncing back into her room a little bit, inviting him to come in too, before he spoke.
She totally ignored him asking her to put them away. Well not entirely, she heard his desperation and totally intended to put on a shirt because it was freaking him out so much. And Raine was too much of a sweetheart to let him go through the obvious mental torture that he was putting himself through. It was funny, she knew a lot of boys who had totally opposite reactions. Most boys really. But she had a boyfriend, she shouldn’t be thinking about these things! She was such a bad girlfriend! She smacked herself in the arm slightly for bad flirty thoughts and then grinned widely at Justin. ”I like the colors too! They’re so bright and vibrant! It’s amazing, isn’t it?” she said with a wide grin.
Then she realized that she was wearing not…well not a lot. All her scars were showing. And Justin hadn’t reacted at all to them. Huh. People were a lot nicer here in Tulsa then they were over in New York. In her old House they would gawk at her. So she had been more careful here. She knew Justin had never seen her scars because she had been careful about it. She had a tiny frown on her face as she thought about her stupid stupid scars. And then she gently placed Nightmare in Justin’s arms. ”This is Nightmare, me and Sephy’s kitten. Hold him a second? He’s a sweetheart he won’t claw or anything. I promise. “ she said, speaking way too much again.
And then she whirled around to find a loose, baggy shirt that would cover her arm scars without making her feel too hot. She had become an expert when it came to her wardrobe and hiding her scars after all. Tugging it on she turned back to Justin. ”Okay, better?” she asked, giggling as she spoke. She still found his reaction amusing, and was using it to pretend she hadn’t just frowned because of her scars.

Hasn’t anybody told you to sit back and breathe? You can’t be living life like a loaded gun, Sing out, sing out, Things can only get better!
.xXx. Justin couldn’t really help the staring. He wasn’t doing it in a pervert-ish, creepy way, but rather out of complete shock and slight awe. Shock, because he was currently faced with the boobs of his friend, Raine, and awe, because of the fricken awesome colors that the bra was. But, he’d already scolded himself for thinking that! He wasn’t supposed to do that! He was such a bad person. Agh. Justin looked up at Raine at her words, his expression still pretty much shock, though slight confused danced across his expression. Seph? Oh, wait! Ahaa, she lived here too! Justin shook his head abruptly, his eyes still wide. “Uh--no. I wanted to see if you wanted to... go. Somewhere.” Justin spoke slowly, jerking his arm up to point over his shoulder with his thumb, in a rather delayed and awkward action. He was just staring. Oh my god, why did he have to get into so many weird situations? After a moment of pure dumbfounded shock, Justin leaned forwards slightly, though not close enough to come anywhere near the offending boobs, to whisper to her. And she laughed. She actually laughed. Confusion twisted Justin’s features slightly as she did so, a brow rising in obvious question. Was this like... normal for her, or something? Did Raine just scamper around in a bra on a daily basis? Justin paled, just thinking about it. Dear lord, that would be terrible. Not in offence to Raine or anything, but quite frankly, her boobs weren’t the ones he wanted to see. Not that he wanted to see boobs Ohgod. Awkward. Justin cleared his throat, before pulling his eyes up to Raine’s face as she spoke. She was amusing herself? In a bra? Justin’s brow furrowed slightly. Well that was practically just calling for rapists and creepers to peer into her windows! Justin looked over her shoulder, towards where the window was in her room, just to be sure. She was safe! This time, at least. “Just a bra?” Justin questioned, in slight shock and enthusiasm. Was she crazy? She probably was. Crazy lady wearing a really cool-looking bra all around the place like some sort of madwoman. Jeezus. “Dude. It’s not just a bra. It’s like. Uh. Yeah.” He replied awkwardly, totally not sure what the point of even speaking was. He didn’t pay much attention to her question, nor the fact that she totally said he needed to get out more. Justin did get out, and at clubs, he’d sure seen some insane shit. But, see, there was a difference. He had a girlfriend now, and Raine was his friend. It was totally different, compared to seeing random ladies dancing all crazy in a bra. Right? Right. Justin sighed to himself, and it was then he decided to place his hands over his eyes, successfully closing off the rather shocking view from him. See, this was better! Justin could deal with this, for sure. He couldn’t help but smirk as she started to laugh, though kept his hands firmly over his eyes. “What are you laughing at? I’m being a good boy, here.” He said with a little chuckle of his own, before he heard Raine move into her room. Oh, he needed to follow! Justin walked forwards blindly, eyes still closed... right into the doorframe. Immediately he took a step back, cussing under his breath, before changing his direction, and walking into the room. Success! After a moment Justin asked her to put them, those being her boobs, away. And although his comment went ignored, Justin hoped she realized he was serious. I mean, sure, boobs were good and all that. But it was just a bad position to be in! He didn’t want to be a bad boyfriend. But, then again... it’s not like he wouldn’t freak out at the sight if he was single, either. Justin was just a spazz like that. His thoughts were dragged immediately back to Raine as she spoke, a large grin curing his lips as he continuing to stand there, in her room, his eyes covered. “Yeah, totally amazing.” He said with a laugh, speaking entirely the truth. Justin wasn’t one to lie, anyways. And could you blame him? The colors were just... epic. There wasn’t much of a better word for them. It was after a moment of silence that Justin was aware of Raine coming closer to him, and he separated his fingers a little bit, to peer at her holding out her kitten to him. Immediately, Justin dropped his hands and took the small animal with a little smile, patting its little head as Raine spoke. Could you blame him? The thing was adorable. “As long as he doesn’t try and eat me, sure.” He said with a little grin, keeping his eyes firmly on the kitten. It was a friggin’ cute animal, that was for sure. The Red Fledgling chuckled, thinking about how Casper would probably get overly excited and tinkle himself, at the thought of a little kitten friend. It was as he was imagining such foolish events that Raine spoke, and Justin looked up at her, before giving her an easy thumbs up. “Yes. A lot better.” He said with a small smile, just realizing the fact that she picked a shirt that covered most of her arms. He figured it was because the scars he’d seen along her arms when she’d greeted him, but didn’t pay much attention to it. Everyone had their insecurities. Like Justin? He was discreetly afraid of sexual... stuff. Hence his freak out. The boy grinned slightly at his thoughts, before shaking from his mind. See what happened when he got scatter-brained? We’re bound to make a change, Take some time to hold somebody! Leat go of fear and all your heartache, Learn to laugh, and learn to cry! Raine practically beamed wider, if that was possible, when Justin informed her that he was looking for her and not Seph. Well that was good! Because Seph wasn’t here. And also she was happy to get out and about and bounce around a bit. ”Sounds fun! I would love to go…somewhere” she said with a giggle, mocking his very vague answer and destination choice mostly for her own amusement. But that was why Raine did everything that she did to be perfectly honest. She loved to amuse herself. Why bother with anything else really?
He seemed so awkward and for the life of her, Raine couldn’t seem to figure out why until he commented on what she was wearing, or rather, the lack of all that she was wearing. Oops. Was that really bothering him? He seemed to be in shock after she spoke though, commenting that it was just a bra. Apparently it wasn’t just a bra, but beyond that he didn’t seem to be all that coherent about it. It wasn’t a bra but it was…She screwed up her face a little in a small frown, utterly confused as to what he was going on about. ”Just so you know? What you just said makes totally and absolutely no sense at all. If its not just a bra than what is it?” she asked, confused. He was making no sense after all.
She laughed when he covered his face with his hands though. What? It was just silly! He was being such a goof and it was making her laugh. All of this over a silly little thing like the fact that she was wearing a bra and not much else? She couldn’t underswtand why it would be such a big deal to him, not when it didn’t matter in the slightest to her. He said he was being a good boy and she rolled her eyes playfully at him. ”You’re being a silly boy here, it’s just a bra for the millionth time and it’s basically the same size as a bathing suit top and you didn’t spaz out when everyone was in Atlantis with those on so I don’t know why it bothers you now. But I’ll change” she said, babbling way too much but that was just the way that she tended to be, she couldn’t help it.
She commented on how epic the colors were and he agreed with a laugh and that made Raine feel so much better to have made him laugh! Laughing was good for the soul after all, hence why Raine was always laughing. Well…no…that wasn’t exactly the reason but it was close enough for her! She scooped up Nightmare and explained that Justin had to hold him because…she just decided that he had to and dropped him into his hands. ”He’s too tiny to eat you, silly” she giggled, slipping on a shirt that covered her scars but still wasn’t too hot because there was still lingering summer heat in the air, hence why she could bounce around in a bra and shorts and be perfectly fine.
He hadn’t commented on the fact that she was all scarred up, and she was entirely grateful for that, more than he would probably ever know. Raine hated when people commented or noticed her scars, even though she knew they were fully out there and just waiting to be commented on. The people that ignored the need to point them out were often those that Raine chose to surround herself with for various reasons. One being that she liked not having to be self conscious all the time around these certain people.
She turned and asked him if that was better and he seemed way more relieved now that she actually had a shirt on and covering her. What a silly thing to get all subconscious about! She was the one in the bra, and if it didn’t bother her she couldn’t seem to understand why it would happen to bother him in the slightest. She just didn’t get it, but that was just one of those things she supposed that she never would because her mind just didn’t work the same way that his did and all.
She went up on the toe of her left foot and easily spun on it, a habit for her to do when she was really happy about something. It was an easy move to the experienced dancer, and one that she did often when she was like this. ”Good, I’m glad you approve’ she told him with one of her usual giggles in her voice before skipping over to scoop Nightmare out of his hands and back into hers. She loved holding Nightmare when she could, mostly because he was just so dang tiny! And also because, for the longest time, Nightmare had been her only confidant, even if he was just a cat. It meant that Raine had a serious bond with him and often liked holding him because of it.
Besides, she was smiling and Justin was smiling and everyone was happy now, so this was bound to be a good day in her opinion. She bounced a bit on her toes, all happy as she tended to be, and tilted her head, looking at Justin. ”So, what did you want to do?” she asked him curiously. She knew she should sleep, but sleep was so boring! She would so much rather get out and play instead!
