Raine was dancing. What else was new? She needed to dance though, like needed to. It wasn’t a want. Raine’s whole world was about dancing after all, what else could you expect from the giggly bouncy little girl? Not that she was that little. Raine was actually 5’6 or so, but people always seemed to think she was smaller than she was for some reason or another. She couldn’t figure out why? Her old best friend back in New York had called her Tinker Bell because she was blonde and seemed tiny. Not because she had an attitude or anything because Raine totally didn’t. She was too happy and bouncy to ever have an attitude.
And right now, she was putting all that energy she always had to good use. She was in a room of the rec hall with her music blasting. She loved this room because of the old wooden, worn floors and the wall of mirrors that made it ideal to dance. She needed to be able to see to know what she was doing! The mirrors let her see every movement and let her know what to correct in order to get it down just right and she needed to get it just right or she freaked a little. She couldn’t help it, she had been dancing forever, she figured this meant she had to get it right when she did it!
So that was what she was doing! She had just come from her rehearsal/lessons and by all rights, she should have gone to her room to get some sleep, she badly needed it because she didn’t get much of it lately due to her hectic schedule plus seeing Easton whenever she could manage. She felt bad if she fell asleep on him due to her exhaustion, so she should be getting some sleep right about now. But, she hadn’t been able to get down one piece of the reutine they had learned today and she was determined to get it right! She was always this way, stubborn. She needed to do things right when it came to her dancing. She didn’t care if this meant she was more tired or had less sleep…
She had too much energy today anyway.
Which meant she was perfectly fine to whirl about the rec hall to her music blasting. She didn’t care that Easton and Seph would probably kill her if they found out. She was a big girl, she could handle herself just fine thank you! She stopped about an hour later anyway, to catch her breath. She wasn’t a fool an sometimes her limbs needed a break. It happened, not just because she was human, but also because of the accident years ago. Getting Marked and all the work she did on her body made sure she was completely in shape, but sometimes she had to stop, it was rare but it did happen. Pluse, a good dancer always knew when she needed to stop and grab a bottle of water.
And she paused her music as she did it, tugging down the sports shirt she wore than resembled a sport’s bra except it covered her whole body down to the tops of her tight sweats. Covered everything so no scars showed but that was the plan, she didn’t care anymore, she had learned to pretend no one was watching and well…it helped that those that mattered never acted like they were there, but the gawking got annoying from time to time. So it was just best to cover up most of them. Her hip tattoos showed slightly under the shirt, where it left a sliver of skin, but other than that, only her white arm scars showed with what she was wearing.
As she took a long drag of water, that was when she heard something. There was someone else in this place? She was curious, usually there weren’t people in here when she used it. So, curiously, Raine padded barefoot out of the room and followed the noise.
It wasn’t long before she found a hand written sign on a door that caught her attention in it’s entirety. It was just so…random she couldn’t help but laugh out loud, which didn’t seem to go noticed by whoever was in the room beyond the door and it’s interesting sign. In handwritten letters, the door read “Failer’s Anonymous. Enter at your own Flail.” It just seemed so random and the moment she read it she loved it! She had to see what was going on inside, the people in there had to be at the very least amusing if they had a sign like this announcing where they were. Plus, Raine, in the non traditional sense, was a fail. She wasn’t the type to trip or fall into things, not with her grace.
She was bubbly and giggly and said things normal people wouldn’t. That was what classified her as a true fail if you asked her, not in a mean way of course. So, she figured, why not? The people in here had to at least be interesting enough to entertain her and make her stop thinking about the stupid move she still couldn’t manage to get down pat as hard as she tried.
So without further ado, she opened the door and peeked her head in, seeing some familiar faces that made her grin even more. ”Mind if I come in?” she asked with laughter in her voice.
