Ryder lounged on a benche. By all rights she should be back at the hotel with the rest of the kids, but honestly they were fine. And any trouble they got themselves into they could get themselves right out of on their own or bother one of the other chaperones. Ryder wasn't in the mood to watch over a bunch of kids right now. Besides, a bunch of them would get in trouble no matter what she did about it and the other half wouldn't cause a peep of trouble. So what was the point of the chaperones? Besides the fact that the school required chaperones to go with them.
Stupid rules. Either way, she was supposed to keep an eye on the little fledglings and make sure they all stayed together in one piece. That had been her orders, keep watch. While Kalona did his little buisness back at the House, making sure that when they all came back he actually had some sort of control over the place. Because as it was he was getting over run by the certain bunch of kids who somehow managed to avoid his influence entirely. Ryder thought that secretly he just wanted to spend more time alone with his girls and Neferet. The man was turning into a softy.
And if that happened Ryder would stop listening. She went with the toughest, who could get her where she wanted to be. Not with someone she thought was tough but was really a sweetheart underneathe.
Anyway, that was besides the point. Ryder was currently sitting on this bench, glasses over her eyes to cut out the glare of the currently setting sun, one ankle crossed over the other. As usual she was in all black...black cargo shorts, black wifebeater, black armband, black hidden knives that no one else around here needed to know about. Not that Ryder needed the weapons per se, she just liked having them on her. You never knew...especially not these days.
She tilted her head back, closing her eyes, her arms spread over the back of the bench before sighing and straightening. She had rented a bike, which wasn't as good as her own baby back home of course, and come to town to try and get away, but now she was damn bored. She needed something to do. Someone to do. Which ever came first really. She just needed something.
She looked up as she saw a shadow pass over her to the person who was on the walk way in front of her. Lowering her glasses to peer over them she studied the person before her. "Yeah?" she said simply, asking what they wanted basically. She wasn't exactly annoyed, not at all, in this sudden interuption. It was welcome infact. She had needed something to do afterall.
