Was it weird for a fledgling to love the sight of the sunset? Maybe. Well, Raine Ashera couldn’t help the love she had for the way the sky turned so many beautiful colors. And it was even prettier here, with the way that it reflected off the water, and the whole thing was glowing orange, reflecting off the hulls of the many cruise ships that sat at the dock here. It was like the world was on fire for those few moments before the sea ate the sun and the whole world slowly turned purple and black, dark and beautiful. But right in this moment when all the colors in the sky simply lit up the whole world as if it wanted to touch everything it saw and make it magical. She smiled, a content and lazy smile as she watched the sun go down though it hurt her eyes to do so. Raine sat at the very edge of the dock, her feet dangling off it, not touching any water because it wasn’t high tide or whatever she assumed. Her feet dangled and she kicked them a little bit, the gems on her Grecian sandles catching the light just a little bit, the fading light. And her dress swayed, flowing around and in between her legs as she did, the tropical maxi dress was gorgeous and Raine adored it. She wished she didn’t have to cover up the top with her black shawl, but she had to cover up her arms…had to cover up her scars or she wouldn’t be a pretty as she was right now… So she was all dolled up with no where to go. But that was okay, because Raine enjoyed watching the sunset. It was more fun if someone was with her, if someone else would comment on the colors with her. A flock of seagulls dipped low over the water as they flew, making the water ripple a little, swirling the oranges and reds that the setting sun had cast over the rippling surface. Beautiful, simply beautiful. The sight made her sigh and lean against the mast of the dock that was next to her as her fingers fiddled with the fringe of her shawl. It was such a romantic beautiful sight that it made her sigh. Now if only she had someone to share it with, besides the ghost of her little sister. ”Selene you would have loved this” she said softly, more to herself than anyone in particular. No…that was a lie. She was talking to the ghost of her little sister. The little sister that was always the happy and loud one. The one that was always showing off. And loved anything shiny and sparkling. Anything that made the world gorgeous. When they had come here to Atlantis when Raine and Sel were younger, the youngest sister had eaten it up. She had adored the scene. Raine had adopted the younger girl’s attitude when Selene had died in a way to honor her seeing as Raine used to be much more withdrawn. She was like this to live life to the fullest…that was what Selene would have wanted. ”Wish you could see it” she said with a soft sigh. It was rare to catch Raine in a mood like this. In a reflective mood where she wasn’t just a bundle of energy. But she had to be sad sometimes… Laugh now, Cry later. Now that made her laugh. He had gotten it just right with that one. She shook her head, shaking off her reflective mood with that. She needed to cheer up! Happiness and all that, right? She loved to laugh. She loved to smile. And she loved this sunset. It was beyond beautiful. She knew most of her classmates may not be up for a while. It wasn’t technically their day yet after all. Raine had woken up to see the sunset. She had gotten all dressed up because she had felt like it. For once. Her light blonde hair fell in loose waves about her face, her storm colored eyes shining in the light of the sun. She felt pretty in her dress and her shoes. Now she just needed somewhere to go. She kept on kicking her legs, humming quietly to herself now as she watched the day’s light disappear into the water. Like it was eating it up. Amusing image. She swang her feet there, watching it...until the sun set below the waves. Made her laugh really, not that that was hard. The fire got extinguished...and she turned her eyes up to wait for the stars to come out...she liked the stars. Hard to see them, when she was in New York. What to do today...now that her day had started. ******* MUSE: Pretty Dang Good WORDS: 908 OUTFIT: CLICKCOMMENTS None atm

Easton had paced back and forth in his hotel room for what seemed like hours. Having awakened early he showered and dressed, but had no where to go. There was a time that Easton was red, before his stupid decision to follow his brother into becoming a black. He had to wait and he hated that. Especially when he had such a strong urge to move. He kept checking his watch and trying to remember when exactly the sun was to set. Honestly he sort of missed the sight. Not that he spent many a night just watching the sun set or anything….but, it was just a part of his humanity that he missed. He had dressed comfortably like normal…nothing too fancy. It was vacation right? A break from the norm…he wasn’t going to do his normal dusk run either, he had spent a good part of his waiting doing a bunch of sit ups, push ups and some other core building exercises…he didn’t like to be so bored and pent up.
With one more check of his watch, Easton decided that it was ok enough to leave. He pushed out the door of the hotel room and made his way out of there. He wasn’t going to stay around and chat up his room mates…he didn’t know them very well and didn’t care to either. The key card to the room was showed deep into his jeans pocket and his black dc sneakers took him quickly far from the hotel. His mind was reeling and the fresh tattoo on his back was a little tender. A smile slipped across his face as her thought about it. Remembering the time he spent at his light table. How nicely the lines flowed. The tingling in his limbs almost never went away. The crow was as magnificent as it was beautiful, wings spread, gazing upward toward…the most colorful butterfly Easton had ever drawn, fluttering so peacefully just above. The crow cashing the butterfly. He had rarely ever drawn…better yet had rarely ever completed a line drawing for himself…he decided to copy it and color it in as well. Since he couldn’t tattoo himself he spent the first day on the island finding the best artist he could. The feeling was unmistakable when he stepped into almost the last shop on the island. The artist had copied it perfectly. The feeling sent Easton over the fucking moon. The piece was a good size, place in the center of his back…reaching one shoulder blade to the other. Perfect. Being as he had never tried to use his affinity for his own work, Easton was very surprised at the out come…but at the same time it made perfect sense. She was as beautiful as a butterfly…and he…the crow.
Deep within all his internal ramblings Easton had barely noticed that he had walked all the way to the marina. He paused for a moment, the boards of the dock just under his shoes. Immediately he knew it was her. Not trying to be a creeper, he only watched her for a moment before walking quietly forward. Something was a miss. The energy. Yes her feet were swinging but he could just feel it. He shoved one hand down into his pocket and fished out the necklace he had the urge to purchase after he had left the island tattoo artist’s shop. He slipped the chain around one finger and held the rest of it in his closed palm. Sneaking up on her was easy…she was preoccupied and he was rather stealthy. He held out his hand above her head and opened it. The charm on the necklace dropped and was just a few inches from her face. Speaking softly not to startle her any more. “How was the sunset?” he knew the blues could still go out in the sun…and it looked like she had been sitting there for a bit. He waited for her to snatch the necklace before he would take a spot right next to her on the dock. Words: 676 Muse: he would NOT leave me alone… Outfit: ~*~Outfit~*~Notes: It said open…and he wouldn’t shut it. So…hope you don’t mind. I’ll add the pics and what not laters. I couldn’t wait to post.

******* Phantom memories played like a movie on Raine’s mind as she watched the stars start to slowly appear across the sky. It was like she had a memory for every star that showed. It was rare for Raine to be in this mood, in the mood she used to be in all the time before the accident. Reflective. It had been so long. She had been so focused on being a ball of energy, to keep everyone else around her happy. Because that was why she had come back to Tulsa after all! But Atlantis had so many fond memories, she kept catching herself getting into this type of mood. It wasn’t bad! No, not at all! If Raine was always such a bundle of energy, eventually she would just burn out. And she didn’t want that! She scoffed a little. Well who would? Really? That was just silly! She laughed a bit, feeling her energy building again. Damn, if she wasn’t careful she would be bouncing off the walls again in no time!
She liked bouncing off the walls though, it made her who she was! People knew she was the hyper, energetic, always smiling blue fledgling who always did her best to put a smile on the face of people around here, because she liked people to be happy too. She was the dancer. Ugh, yes she was the dancer. Even in Cindy’s book. She groaned a bit at that though. That girl was such a…a…gossip! She was afraid that the stupid girl had chased off another boy away from her. She hated that. Okay, so Raine never settled. That didn’t mean she used up boys and spit them out! That was what Cindy had made her sound like! She hated that. She was afraid that Cindy had scared off the only boy she had ever actually thought about settling down and having a relationship with. Usually she was too…active and bouncy for a settled down relationship. It wasn’t like she didn’t want one! She just…didn’t know how anyone could handle that. But…Happy thoughts! She was sure that no one really believed that gossip much anymore.
And then something shiny was in front of her face.
She jumped a bit with a bit of a laugh, but then a voice accompanied the charm and she really did laugh then. Looking up she saw the face she fully expected to see. And she smiled because there was no chance she couldn’t. She reached out and took hold of the charm in front of her face. If he had gotten this for her he was so dead! She didn’t need gifts or anything like that. But at the same time…just seeing him here relieved one of her worries. So Cindy couldn’t scare off everyone…good. ”Hey! Scare me off the dock, why don’cha” she teased as she shifted to look at him when he sat next to her. She was happy he was here, cause…well she always was. Not that it was hard to make Raine happy, but he always brought an instant smile to her face, she couldn’t help that one. But still, if he actually had gotten the necklace for her she’d hit him while she thanked him. Now, that image made her full out laugh.
But then she actually decided to answer the question that he had asked her. ” Oh the colors…they were so beautiful. I used to sit here all the time with….with my sister” she said, stumbling over the words a little bit. Her sister was a sensitive subject with her. Because of how horrible she missed the little ball of energy. Selene was the reason she danced, the reason she wrote, the reason she was as happy as she was to this day. She owed a lot to the little nut and she missed her each day. But she covered it up quite well, she thought.
She fiddled with the edges of her shawl again, keeping it over her arms though the night was possibly too warm for it. But she wanted to look nice, and nice didn’t include showing off wicked white scars that always caught people’s attention. She smiled up at him though, deciding to get off the subject and be her usual ball of energy self. Which wasn’t all that hard, considering he made her happy, and so did this place…and well…everything about this vacation! She was away from Kalona! She was with her best friend and…well…the boy she was seriously falling for in a gorgeous tropical place. As she thought this she felt the sadness ebb back like it hadn’t been there. Worked every time. ”So what are you doing up so early, huh?” she said with a smile. She was curious, considering most of their class mates were so not up.
But hey, they were on vacation. ******* MUSE: Pretty Dang Good WORDS: 808 OUTFIT: CLICKCOMMENTS She refers a bit to Cindy's post...sorry bout the rambling!

Easton plopped down there next to her and wrapped his arms around her. She was joking about being scared off the dock and he laughed. “I wouldn’t scare you that bad….and with your grace darlin’ I seriously down you would fall off.” he gave her a bit of a squeeze before releasing her and taking the necklace from her hands. Ok it was a gift for her and there really wasn’t a reason for it. Easton had never bought anything for a girl before…he never felt the urge to, and they rarely stayed very long anyways. He noticed the tone in her words as she spoke of her sister and he immediately regretted releasing her from his embrace. There hadn’t been enough time to really get to know this girl yet but Easton was no dummy, he could tell that whatever it was about her sister was something very sad. There was something tragic that happened to her…the scars were blatant proof of something. Honestly it didn’t bother him, but he knew that she disliked them very much…girls normally had a hard time with their self esteem and he knew it must be a difficult thing for her. But within seconds it was if she was pushing that away and a bit of the sparkly bubbly girl shown through the gloom.
Easton smiled at her and took a second to take in her outfit. “I couldn’t sleep…I would have came out earlier.” he shrugged a little. “But…I haven’t been able to see the sunset in a while. That whole burning thing kind of ruins it.” a light laugh made the words lighter. It didn’t really bother him that much. He wasn’t one to sit and stare at a sunset much…so no big loss there. He nudged her a little with his arm, tilting his head a little to look across at her. “My dear…you are looking lovely to night, but you are missing something.” Easton took the necklace in his hands and unhooked the tiny little clasp. He leaned around and hooked it around her delicate neck, brushing her hair back so that the chain would rest against her skin. “there…” his hand lingered on the back of her neck and he leaned in placing a few kisses where her shoulder and neck met. Easton leaned back and laughed a little. “if you don’t like it you can throw it into the ocean I guess.” he was teasing and kept on smiling.
“There was this neat little shop I came across last night while I was out…had lots of little things like that.” he was really terrible at describing things like that. He wasn’t a very girly dude and had like no real girlfriend experience…he couldn’t stop looking at her and he knew it. She did look stunning in that dress…the shall was ok, but the dress looked fabulous on her fit figure. He leaned against her a little wrapping one arm around her wait to bring her closer to him, just the way he liked it. “What you been up two? Have any interesting room mates?…mine are lame…some pretty boy named something-lux and some kid named…” he paused and tried to think “ok, I forget his name…I think it starts with a P…” he laughed a little. “I’m not exactly a social butterfly I guess.”
That reminded him of the tattoo on his back, maybe he would show her…maybe. It was healing rather quickly but it was actually quite personal too, but why not share that with her? He actually really liked her…a lot. Maybe sharing things like that with someone wouldn’t be so bad? For a moment he wondered if she would know the meaning of it at all…the fact that she might not like it bothered him a little. It wasn’t like he was being a creeper and tattooing her name on his arm or something lame like that, his affinity gave it to him after all…it had to be for a reason. Raine adored being in his arms. It was so…perfect, ya know? Felt weird. She loved being in boy’s arms in general. But this time was always a little bit different in ways she had yet to bother to figure out exactly why this was. She wasn’t the type of girl to delve into that. Either way, he let go all too soon for her taste, but she smiled and leaned against him a little bit still, happy he was here to sit with her now. Even if he couldn’t have sat with her during the actual sunset cause, well, he said it best himself! He said it with a laugh and she arched a brow, her smile growing a bit and she laughed a bit herself. ”Yeah, that whole thing…I’d assume so. Otherwise I’d hold you to waking up early to see it with me tomorrow” she said, grinning, pulling her spark out of the gloom. She didn’t like being reflective anymore, she wanted to be her usual bouncy and happy self. And she was slowly falling into that again. She’d still probably think about Selene a lot while they were here. Because she had her sister with her the last time she had been here. But she would work on not letting that get her down. He nudged her a little and she smiled and nudged back a little. He commented on her outfit and she blushed a little bit. She had gotten dressed up for no real reason other than she had felt like it. She shivered a little when her hands brushed her neck and her eyes drifted close a little bit at her kisses, but then she fully realized that he had clasped the necklace around her neck, her hand reached up to brush against it and her blush only brightened a bit. The only person who really got her gifts was her father, and that was just to bribe her into loving him. ”No…I love it! I do! But you shouldn’t have gotten me anything!” she said, hitting his arm lightly…but then she leaned up to kiss his cheek softly. ”But thank you” she said softly, her blush subsiding a bit. Like she had said, hitting while thanking at the same time. That was Raine for ya. He pulled her closer and without even really thinking it she leaned against him a bit when he did that. It was a comfy position and she was happy to sit here on the edge of the dock with him, look up at the stars and talk to him. Sounded good to her! Well that is, until she found herself with too much energy and she decided to run off somewhere she could burn off all that energy, tugging him along of course. The boy had doomed himself by sitting with her, she thought with a bit of a grin. She listened to him talk about where he had gotten it, content to just listen for once, which was not normal for the babbler, but she was still in her odd reflective mood just slightly. He asked about her roommates and she laughed. ”Mine is my roommate from back home, Sephora and her friend Red who seems fun.” she said, pretty much not answering what she was up to. Seeing as what she had been up to had been dancing it up in clubs with whoever seemed fit to dance with her. Speaking of whoever seemed fit to dance with her…he said his roommates and she nodded with a grin. She had been here for two years, long enough to learn who everyone was. Plus, she knew these two…kinda. ”Only one person has lux in his name, that’s Marluxia” she said with a laugh. ”The other’s Pride, I assume? He’s in my former” she said nodding a bit. She knew all the boys really, not that she would admit this. Why? Because she wasn’t sure exactly if she should. She wasn’t sure what she and Easton could be classified just yet. But she wasn’t the type to come out and ask it, she wasn’t the mushy type of girl…or the type that usually had a boy to call her own, like as a boyfriend. So how did she ask that type of question? Hence why she kept it to herself. She smiled at the social butterfly part and smirked up at him a bit, kicking her feet a little more because she just couldn’t help it. ”Well that’s okay…because I am! You shall just have to get used to being tugged to social events” she teased, sticking her tongue out at him. And then she scowled a bit at the shawl. It was really starting to bug her more than was necessary. It was warm and her dress looked prettier without it on top of it. So she wanted this gone! Well…her current company didn’t seem to notice her scars at all, so why should she hide behind a layer of clothes? She nodded very set in this now. She slid her shawl off her shoulders to puddle around her instead, wrapping it around her waist soo that way it wouldn’t fall into the water. ”That’s better…too hot for that she said, mumbling that a bit, more saying it for herself instead. ******* MUSE: There WORDS: 884 OUTFIT: CLICKCOMMENTS Ugh I kinda dislike this post

Easton laughed as she punched him playfully, he rubbed the spot like it hurt…even though it didn’t. he teased. “Ouch…” it was such a relief that she liked it, even thought he wasn’t sure why he fretted about it so much. It wasn’t like she was going around acting like his girlfriend or something. He hadn’t honestly spent any energy chasing any other girls like he used to, not after that night in his room. Easton had never thought it would happen to him…to fall like this. It was weird and new. There was this shred of hope inside him thought that she might like him in the same way. What an internal battle it was, kept him from sleeping…but he wasn’t about to let her know that. every time he closed his eyes he almost always saw her. It’s like he was struck her with, but he wasn’t at all complaining. Never in a million years.
He sat quietly and just sort of nodded when she was talking about knowing his room mates. She was a friendly girl, wasn’t it just natural for her to have a lot of friends? He guessed so…he on the other hand, hadn’t made many friends at the House. He knew there were probably bad rumors going around about him and his brother. There were a number of fledglings that were down right afraid of him and his brother. There was a lot of darkness behind him…creeping back there like it was going to ruin his life. Maybe it wasn’t too late to start over? Wasn’t that what some of those red’s always preached out, embracing their humanity or whatever.
He laughed lightly as she kicked her feet, it reminded him of a child…a happiness that many lost too long ago. Her energy seemed to bounce up and then back down in an instant. She had pulled her shawl down and muttered something he almost didn’t hear. He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on top of her shoulder. “You look hot.” another kiss a little closer to her neck. “Also you don’t have to tug me anywhere…I’d gladly be with you if you want me to be.” it was almost a proposal to be official…or whatever that was called. It didn’t matter to him. It was how he felt and she should know it. He almost felt a little vulnerable at the moment and decided to play it cool, with a playful growl and a little nip on her ear lobe. “Why do I feel the need to lose a piece of clothing too?” Easton sat back up and laughed as he talked, clearly teasing her.
He looked down at the water far beneath them. It looked refreshing and the night was hotter then he liked…and yet he put jeans on…and a shirt? He wasn’t sure what he was thinking when he got dressed, other then he just really felt strongly that he needed to just get out of there. Easton nudged her once with his arm before he stood up. “How deep do you think that is?” He smirked down at her, pulling on his shirt until the snaps gave one by one. He was smart and made vow never to buy another shirt with buttons. He pulled his shirt off and tossed it right at her. “It looks deep enough…” Next the shoes were off, then the belt…his fingers worked to get his belt off, it soon was undone and his pants were off. It left him standing here in his black boxer briefs. He smirked down at her again mischievously as he took a few steps back. With out another word he took those few steps and launched himself off the end of the dock and into the water below.
The entry into the water was some what graceful but still managed a good splash. East surfaced and winced a little. He had forgotten about his newly done tattoo….it would only sting for a while, he would manage. He splashed up at her playfully calling up to her. “Come one…it feels great.” he smiled up at her from the water. “Unless you aren’t wearing anything under that sexy dress….I won’t mind”

And now…Raine debating hitting herself. Ugh. What had she been thinking? She liked Easton a lot. Like…a lot, a lot. And she had already screwed her last relationship to the ground. In some ways, Raine was like a child, a very ditzy child. She had a philosophy to always do what her impulses told her, to always do what first popped in to her mind. And she had decided she needed to stop doing that because she liked this boy, a lot. So sleeping with another one was totally a bad idea. Which was why she was so going to keep her fling with Marluxia, that had extended into this relationship, to herself. She was feeling guilty enough as it was. They weren’t a couple, well not officially, but here he was…getting her things and being so sweet. She needed to learn to behave herself. She needed to actually learn how to stick to one boy…and maybe this could work. Right? She certainly hoped so. Wow, Raine felt like a yo-yo today. She was up and then she was down. She needed to pick one or the other! And Raine picked happy! Why shouldn’t she be? Despite her faults…she had a boy who was happy to sit here with her, which was rare for the bouncy child. She usually didn’t find people who were willing to chill out with her because of her ever going energy that never could seem to settle down for more than a minute or two. Unless she was having yo-yo days like today. She was very happy she had taken off her shawl, because now he was kissing her shoulder. A soft purring noise that Nightmare, her kitten, would have been proud of rumbled softly in her throat when he did that. She smiled happily. ”And so do you” she returned the complement happily. His next statement, despite the kiss on the neck that made her shiver a bit, caused her attention to be caught and she turned towards him. ”Really?” she asked softly and then tilted her head a bit, a way joyous and happy smile on her face at that. She hoped he meant what she thought that he meant. ”I’d like that….alot” She laughed out loud, beyond happy now, when he nipped her ear though. ”Animal” she teased lightly when he growled. Nothing more than a tease. In her eyes, Easton wasn’t like…other blacks or reds. He was more of a gentleman to her. And she refused to ever see him any differently! She grinned wickedly at his comment about the water. Thinking of jumping in, was he? ”Pretty deep, I think!” she commented. And then he was tugging off his shirt and Raine was happy too see no buttons flying anywhere. Actually, Raine was happy to see him without a shirt. She wasn’t embarrassed to look, she had seen it before and she was damn happy to see again. Yummy was her thought again about this. Damn yummy infact. She loved that this boy fit her favorite word so well. Was it slightly bad for her to think this way? Yes. Did she care all that much? No. Not really. She watched him undress, because she was so not the type of girl to look away just because proper etiquette said so, and was trying very hard to not laugh at him. What was he going at? She figured he’d jump in. She laughed out loud, a loud and way joyous sound, when he jumped in, and applauded his jump. And she looked down at him. ”How’s the water? she teased. He replied to her by saying it felt great and that she should come in herself. ”Why do I feel like this is simply a plot of yours to get me naked again? she asked, laughing. She wasn’t all that serious about it, she was teasing him. She rolled her eyes and grinned down at him. Hey, it couldn’t hurt though for her to ojump in too! She slid to stand on the dock and balanced on one foot, thank you affinity for grace! Her shoes were a devil to take off! So many straps and buckles…she started bouncing in circles on one foot, miraculously not falling off the dock somehow, until she got the shoe off! Score! She glared at the other shoe…and decided it’d probably be better to just bend down and unbuckle it rather than bouncing around on one foot. Her affinity for balance wasso coming in handy, but better to not abuse it. She smirked down at him, amused, before sliding her dress off, totally comfortable in her simple black bra and panties. She had so not planned to strip down today, but she was happy that her underthings were at least presentable today, no gross old granny panties or whatever. They were cute, just simple. And then she backed up to take a running jump…and cannonballed in, purposely splashing him. She surfaced, laughing. He was right, the water was fiiiiiine. ******* MUSE: Pretty Dang Good WORDS: 976 OUTFIT: CLICKCOMMENTS None atm

Easton laughed and splashed a little harder, even though it was likely that the water would never reach the top of the dock. She was teasing him about a plot to get her naked and he just grinned and looked all fake innocent. “I have no idea what you are taking about…” He relined back and relaxed, the sting wasn’t bothering him much anymore. Taking a steady breath he relaxed his body enough to just float there on his back in the water. The moon had came out and lit up the night. Easton liked how it gave everything almost a silvery glow…it almost made up for having the sunrise being taken away from him…almost…He had always been more a creature of the night then anything anyway. His gaze moved from the moon back to Raine on the dock, bouncing around like a maniac trying to get her shoes off, this made him smile. Silly girls, never wore practical shoes…then that little smirk on her angelic face caught his attention and he almost went under. No more floating nicely on the surface, no…his attention was on the dress, slipping slowly down her frame and to her feet. If he had been standing somewhere on solid ground he would have felt that ache for her all the way down to his feet…he kept his mouth shut even though he would have been floating here with mouth open at her …The view was rewarding, her under attire was perfect, simple and yet…sexy enough to make his heart race.
Surprise and amusement was clearly all over his face as she splashed down into the water. Easton laughed and wiped the water from him face. “Kudos on the cannon ball there…great form, technique…over all splash.” he gently teased her with a little splash. Easton back pedaled toward the beach, just until he was in water deep shallow enough for him to touch and he tugged Raine at arms length with him. He liked swimming but he knew that she was too much of a distraction for him not to drown. The water seemed so calm, barely a little wave here and there…almost perfectly still. He knew she wouldn’t be able to touch the bottom, so he pulled her close and wrapped one arm around her waist. “Hi…” Easton smiled playfully down at her before placing a soft kiss on her lips. That was something he had missed these last few days. The sweet way she tasted and the warmth that she made him feel deep inside, reminding him that he was alive.
A few more kisses on the edge of her jaw and down her neck to her shoulder. Easton stayed there snuggled a little in the bend of her neck for a moment before straightening up and brushing some wet hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear. “You’ve been here before haven’t you?” soft smile not faltering. “You are gonna have to show me some of the fun things to do around here…” his free hand joined his other on her waist to keep her afloat. “The roomies and I don’t mesh well…I’ve been bored out of my damn mind.” he laughed a little with a shrug. Honestly Easton wasn’t one that had many friends, just his brother and a few others he might even bother speaking to…he was hoping this was something that he could change. The way Raine didn’t act as there was anything wrong with him, just made him like her even more. Even if there had been a girl here and there, they always left…he wondered if it was because of the darkness that lurked deep with in him, or the reputation that followed him around…or just because of the relationship with his brother? Who knew…all he knew so far was that she wasn’t like anyone else. He silently hoped that she would be the beginning of a change for him. A good one, for once. Words: 659 Muse: ok..poofed a few times. Outfit: ~*~Outfit~*~Notes: sorry it has taken so long! He was being difficult.

She had decided to totally ignore his “oh so innocent” act as she hopped about trying to get her damn shoes, only acknowledging the comment with her usual, bubbly peal of laughter that rang out over the water and fully amused her. Besides, she just liked the way she got him to look at her when she dropped the dress. I mean…Raine knew that superficially she was pretty, from her blond hair and stormy colored eyes…but if you asked her, all her scars marred that beauty, making it invisible to the rest of the world…until she danced at least. Then she was beautiful simply because of the way that she could move. She vowed to start competing again as soon as she could do so…her NY HoN had let her compete, but that was because they were in the city, right where most competitions were. So she understood why she couldn’t here. But anyway, in front of anyone else she would have been too self conscious to drop the dress. Not in front of him. He never seemed to notice. It made her relax more.
And then she had cannonballed. Most people would expect a dive of some sort from a girl that prized her grace above all things, but they had to take into account that Raine was also totally nuts. Happily nuts in fact. She liked to laugh, what was so wrong with that. She was grinning when she resurfaced and he was wiping off his face. And she laughed again then, her grin wide like the Chesire cat’s on her face. She treaded water, she was an athelete in her own right afterall, she could tread water. ”Well thanks! The splash was the point” she spoke through her laughter. She always felt so happy and relaxed with Easton, he made her day fun. And though she had taken pains to get all dolled up today, splashing around in the water was just so much more fun!
Another giggle bubbled up to the surface when he tugged her over. She pouted playfully when she saw he could stand fully but even if she strained she couldn’t touch the ground in the slightest. Not that she was complaining about him wrapping an arm around her waist. No, that she fully approved of and returned the favor by wrapping her arms around his shoulders to help him keep her up. Drowning was so not on her to do list after all. And then he kissed her and it just made her feel warm all over when he did, she kissed him right back happily. ”Well hi yourself” she said, being her usual happy self. Hell, when that kiss turned into more him teasing her by kissing down and nuzzling against her neck, she saw absolutely nothing wrong with that.
He looked up though, and she liked that so much better. She liked being able to look at him, always in the eyes cause that’s how her mother raised her. She liked being able to happily bouncily think in her head how yummy and sweet and gentlemanly he seemed to her. When he asked his question she nodded, another grin spreading on her face. “Yeah, my parents used to take me and my sister here all the time…a long time ago but everything’s the same!” Four years to be exact. That was how long it had been after she had been here. After that year she wouldn’t have wanted to come even if her father had offered for her to. She was too busy being practically comatose in her bed and refusing to move after that, and then she had gotten marked and begun to live again so she had never had a chance to come back.
And then she laughed, happy and bouncy even more even if she couldn’t really expend all the energy that came with her happy moods while she was floating in the water, held up by a boy she wanted to spend more and more time with. ”I will!” she declared, laughing once more. What else was new. ”There is so much fun stuff to do here! Like…so much. We so need to live it up and I can totally show you it all, I know all the best spots. And all the livliest, and all the quietest….and the coziest. And the…” she stopped in a fit of giggles, a small blush on her face as she realized that she had been babbling and seriously needed to stop doing this. It was funny to her how fast her earlier gloomy mood disappeared when she was with him. It was just so hard not to be happy when he was around her! She just…felt light as air.

Sweet shivers ran up his spine when she wrapped her around his neck. It was that returned affection that made his heart skip a beat…and he hoped that it never ended. She was babbling on and on and all he could do was smile. The way she just opened up and the words would just spill out in her cute little way of hers. One of his hands came up to brush against her check, she blushed a lot. It was beautiful. “and?….” he smiled down at her. “Go on…what else?” he teased her ever so lightly. The truth was he didn’t mind how much she talked…he actually like it. Maybe it was the happy sound of her voice, or that she talked to him so freely and didn’t just scowl and him and walk the other way. The good ones usual did that. It seemed like the only ones that ever talked to him just wanted something in return…ink, sex, to make a point by hanging out with a “bad” boy. With her…clearly this wasn’t the case.
So many things ran through him mind at the moment. How much he wanted to kiss her. Flash backs of the night he met her playing over and over in the back of his mind. Oh how he didn’t want that night to end. It had been…the most memorable moment since he came back to the House from the Depot. And here they were again, so freaking close to each other…he was almost dying inside, trying not to take her right there. He didn’t want there only encounters to be all about getting laid…not that he didn’t want it, only he wanted more with her. Boy he was starting to feel like a damn girl. Emotions, physical feelings and things were all stirred up inside when she was around him. Like…like…hell he wasn’t even sure. The main things he was sure about were…he liked her and liked the way he felt around her…as if she gave him the hope that he could be better, that it was really possible.
“Really…tell me about it.” He laughed a little and kissed her softly on the lips, only letting go to talk for a second. “Or…take me…anywhere. As long as I’m with you.” he just couldn’t help it. As much as he wanted to hear those sweet lips talk, he couldn’t stand to keep that light kiss only light. His long toned arms pulled her right against him, the hand that brushed her cheek lightly rubbed the back of her neck before slipping down her spine. It had to be the water, or the moon, or just her…but he just couldn’t help himself. Blame it on him being a male or whatever you like. He just loved the way she felt against him, her mouth on his. Despite his body screaming at him not to, Easton pulled back from the kiss…slightly breathless for a moment. “Sorry…” he laughed a little. “ok…maybe I’m not.” he leaned his head down his forehead touching hers. “You drive me crazy…you know that?” There he was being all open and shit again. Whatever. He didn’t care…not when she was around.
That was it. He left it at that. It wasn’t a bad thing to tell her that? Right? Easton really needed to get his damn brain to stop making him second guess him self all the time. Easton took a deep breath to try and relax. He didn’t really move only closed his eyes for a moment and bit his tongue to keep from saying anything else that might make him look any more nuts. He couldn’t help the slightly smile his lips held when he opened his eyes and looked down at her. Almost waiting for her to laugh in his face…he knew she wouldn’t…but he sort of felt a little silly, even if he shouldn’t. Damn guy ego shit. Words: 651 Muse: ok…died at the end. Bah! Outfit: undies? Hahaha Notes: I know it’s a fail and he is being a big old girl. Maybe the other post sucked all the manly outta him for the moment? Hahahahahaha.

Her blush deepened a bit when he teased her and she stuck her tongue out at him playfully. She couldn’t help that she babbled! She had for the past three or four years, before that it was hard to get her to say anything at all. It was like all that she had kept held in for fourteen years now saw the need to come spilling out of her mouth with absolutely no filter what so ever. She had no filtering system as hard as she tried, she just babbled on and on. Easton didn’t seem to mind though, he just teased her about it from what she could tell and that made her smile a bit, even if she did resort to sticking out her tongue at him like a five year old, Raine was just Raine. No other explanation for it. And she was happily that way, and Easton seemed to like her the way she was and so did Sephora, so Raine saw absolutely no reason to ever change! And she wouldn’t, knowing her.
She was just happy he seemed to like her for her. It had just seemed so improbable to Raine. Sure, boys would seem to fool around with her from time to time, but in the end, who wanted to date a girlfriend with as much baggage as Raine had? She had….emotional trauma from the past that she wouldn’t let her mind delve in to, not when she had just gotten out of her funk. She had her…well her scars! It was easy as day for her to see them right now, wrapped around his neck. The angry, red, raised burns and the deep indenting white ones. He had to feel them…the irregularities of her skin….and yet he never flinched away from it from what Raine could tell, and she was grateful for it. Beyond that was just….he himself. He drove her wild, truly he did. Such a gentleman, always being so sweet. It was…weird for her. But she really wanted to settle down with him and commit herself to one boy. And she meant it, that was the scary part for her. And if what he said earlier was any indication…he wanted to too. She hoped.
He said to tell her about it but then he kissed her, soft and sweet, and she didn’t see how she could answer with her lips preoccupied with kissing him back, that seemed way more important to her than actually answering. When he said….when he said “as long as I’m with you” though it kinda struck a cord with her and made her smile. It was…weird. Nice? Maybe nice was a much better word to describe it. So nice. It was nice to feel like she was wanted. She was used to a father who ignored her, a family who had passed away, and people who could never understand her or want to. And now she had Seph, her best friend and roommate…and now Easton. Who wanted to be with her. It blew her mind entirely.
Luckily he kissed her again and got her off this train of thought before she started grinning like an idiot. A soft sound left her throat as she happily kissed him back, tightening her arms around him to get closer, because dammit she always found herself wanting to be closer and closer to this boy, even when he was just doing her ink. Even when she shouldn’t have been thinking about the horizontal tango the entire time she was with him. She had wanted to be closer and closer even then. And then he pulled back, and she was breathless, but that didn’t stop her from pouting because she didn’t want it to be over, no, not at all. She wanted to kiss him until she couldn’t. Which was impossible, and fine with her.
She was making no sense. But she didn’t seem to care about that either. She laughed when he said sorry and then maybe not. ”Well good, cause I’m not either!” she declared, because it was so true. If she had her way, she wouldn’t have stopped kissing him at all. She liked kissing very much so. His kisses left her breathless and wanting so much more…Ugh. She was falling fast and hard, wasn’t she? She decided she didn’t much care either. As usual, Raine was a creature of impulse and doing what made her happy. And Easton had a way of making her happy…And apparently she had a way of driving him crazy. He had leaned her head against hers and that made her smile and close her eyes for a moment, content beyond all sense of reason to just be there with him right then. ”Sorry? she ventured, with a small smile that turned into a bigger one. ”Okay, now it’s my turn to not be…but I’m just returning the favor, Easton” she teased in a bit of a sing song at the end of that.
She still had the big smile on her lips for moments before she leaned right up to kiss his lips softly with hers once more, just a soft kiss. But she couldn’t help wanting to just kiss him again and again…it was something so right about the way she felt when she was simply touching him…Wait. He had said something before kissing her hadn’t he? About going some place or telling him about all the places she knew. Well, she could do that. Funny how kissing managed to entirely make her mind blank out about what she was supposed to be thinking. Maybe it was just Raine? Either way…”I know this gorgeous, fancy place up on the Marina. Unfortunately they require more clothes than we have on right now” she teased, trying to keep the little grin from her face even as her eyes sparked with mischief. ”Fortunately I know two pretty fancy outfits that just so happen to be hanging out on top of the docks” she said, basically asking if he wanted to go…or hang out in the water.
Either one she was fine with. As long as she was with him.

“Clothes?” A warm laugh came from deep within his chest. “Clothes are over rated…But as long as it‘s with you I don‘t care where we go” sappy he knew it, but it was how he felt. Having been a bit of a loner other then the company of his brother, it was different for Easton to feel such and awesome connection. At least he knew the clothes he left on the dock were possibly just dressy enough to fit into some “gorgeous fancy place” that Raine was talking about. “Alright…you ready?” a playful smirk on his face. Gently he gripped her hands and turned around in her embrace…piggy back style. It only just then occurred to Easton that she would have a full view of his new tattoo. It wasn‘t there the last time they were together…maybe she would notice it? Or wonder what it was about…either way it didn‘t matter. His affinity had gifted him with it and he wasn‘t ashamed of anything that his affinity gave him. He knew it was a gift as was the tattoo. Maybe a sign from Nyx…that this would work…or a reflection of his fears of being too different for her…
“hang on.” Easton trudged towards the shore line, his steps getting heavier as the water got shallower. Not that she was hard to carry, she was light to him. He retraced his steps down the dock to where their clothes lay. Carefully he let her down from his back stood there dripping. “Think they will let a couple of soggy tourists into that place?” Easton ran his hands through his hair trying to flick the water out of it, then he ran his hands down the rest of his body squeegeeing all the water he could off. He looked down at his boxer briefs before tugging them off and just pulling his pants on with out them.
What? He didn’t need a soggy ass. That wouldn’t be sexy at all. Besides he wasn’t afraid of just dropping his drawers like that, it was night time not that many people around, not like Raine hadn’t see it before and he had nothing to be ashamed of in the below the belt department. Next to slide on was his belt, loop after loop it slid into place. His shirt was an easy addition to the rest of his outfit, snapping the snaps up…just his shoes left and he was dressed. He held his hands out to the side and did a little spin. “Not to bad for just being soaking wet.” he could feel the shirt clinging slightly to the dampness that remained on his back, but it didn’t matter. Whatever had been damp will soon be dry. He wasn’t worried.
“Ready?” with a playful smile he offered her his arm. Whatever they ended up doing tonight would be alright by him. It didn’t matter, as long as he was with her. Yeah…he was more then ok with that. Words: 495. OMG I FAIL SO EPICALLY. *Dies* Outfit: ~*~Outfit~*~Notes: ASFDKJOGVFUINEGVOINJSDFKSJF….IT’S SHORT. And awful…but…my muse for it died. Guess we can just close it and move on to the Seph meeting and maybe a post in the winter masq.
