She groaned as she woke, holding her head. She had no idea what had happened, but she knew it wasn’t good whatever it was. There was no way this could possibly good if she had…well she assumed if she had passed out? It was weird. One second they had been standing there talking to some little girl who didn’t seem to like them much, the next second she was here…where ever here was? She wasn’t sure. She had woken up on a bed though. Okay…so maybe it wasn’t exactly a bed. She sat up a bit on the sapphire blue reclining chair and looked around as best she could. It wasn’t easy to see much around the blue gauzy curtains that surrounded the little part of the room she was in, with the pillows scattered across the floor.
She stood on bare feet and padded over to part the curtains and look around. As far as she could tell, the entire room was all gold and blue and….bizarre. It was like a scene out of Arabian nights or something. Where the hell was she?
She put her hand up to her aching head and got confused when she came into contact with a band that so wasn’t her usual goggles. And then she looked down at herself. Okay, what the fuck was this? She was in some weird get up. It was like a teal-ish blue, and now she looked like she was out of a scene of Arabian nights. She guessed she should just be lucky she wasn’t in a skirt or dress or something. That was a plus at the very least.
She heard a rumbling purr and turned her head to where her baby was coming towards her. Or at least, she assumed it was her baby. Hard to tell when Chii looked all grown up to her, big and beautiful. She padded over to her Mama and rubbed her head under her hand so that way the big cat could get pet. ”What is going on now, baby?” she asked the cat before walking over to the door like thing on the far wall and going out on to a balcony.
She felt like someone was watching her.
Now she didn’t know where she was, but she knew she didn’t like it. And she had no idea where the rest of her crew was. This was so wrong. She needed to find them, hell she needed to find where she was first! The only way to get herself out of here was to know where she was in the first place. Below her little balcony, out into the distance she saw a town below that looked like it belonged in a desert. And that was when she realized she was in a gold and white-ish castle. Somehow. What the hell?
This was so fucked up.
She turned, taking Chii with her, and started to walk towards the door of this room she was in, ignoring the weirdness of feeling like somehow this was her room when it so wasn’t. It couldn’t be. She opened the door to see two very muscled men standing there. Umm? She blinked, and probably looked like a hooked fish, but she was slightly dumbfounded by this. Was she a captive?
”Princess, your father requests you stay put” one of the guards rumbled.
Well looked like she was.
Wait…Princess? What the fuck? And her father? The man was a wet towel, he couldn’t give an order if his life depended on it. Either way, entirely confused she closed the door and turned back towards the room. What to do now? She couldn’t hang around here! She needed out so she could find the rest of the pack and get the hell out!
She turned back to the room, but not before grabbing a tattered brown hooded robe she found hidden behind the couch she had been on earlier when she had woken up moments before. She would just have to sneak out then, not like she hadn’t done that before. She went back to her little balcony thing, and snuck down, Chii jumping down after her and then they were in a little courtyard like thing. There was a fountain and all.
And high walls.
She scowled and looked around this place. How the fuck was she supposed to escape like this? It was like they wanted to keep her in! Ugh. She wanted out. She looked around, spinning in circles as she thought. There had to be some way out…there was something in the back of her head telling her there was, she decided to ignore the fact that there was a voice like thing in the back of her head. As long as it helped, she’d learn to deal with it and move along to get out! She had a one track mind, she needed to get out and find her friends.
That little dark haired chick was gonna get it when they got out of whatever this was.
She found a tree then. Yes! She slung the cloak over her shoulders and put the hood over her head. Time to go. She climbed up the gnarled old tree and slung herself over the wall, Chii following given that panthers were notorious climbers.
And now she was in the real world.
Time to go.
------------------
How did he always get himself into these things? He wasn’t sure where he was just yet, but he was working on it! All he knew was that there was two big burly men after him and he so did not want to get caught! He turned and skidded around a corner, fighting the need to yell like a wild man as he did. And it was then he noticed a little thing clinging to his shirt.
Needless to say, he freaked out.
Skidding to a stop in an alley and waiting until the burly men raced by, he caught his breath and looked at the creeper that was clinging to his shoulder. It was a monkey? He grinned a bit goofishly and looked at the monkey, with a little cap on that looked strangely familiar, he just couldn’t place it just yet. But it was the gleam in the little monkey’s eyes that caught his attention first. He frowned a bit, peering closer. And that was when it hit him.
”Squall?! You’re a monkey!” he declared, entirely confused by this but also fighting the need to laugh. His reward for this though was him angrily chirping in monkey style and tugging on his hair. ”Okay, okay I give!” he declared, rubbing his head after the monkey that was his best friend let go.
He looked around a bit, and then pulled a loaf of bread out of the vest he was wearing. So this was why he was being chased? He filched a loaf of bread? He broke it in half and gave one to Squall as he thought. This all seemed oddly familiar. And he couldn’t piece together why.
Peeking his head out of the alley he looked around. And then it hit him. He was in Aladdin! How had that happened?!
It was probably that creeper little girl’s fault. He frowned. She hadn’t liked them much and had started chanting something…before the world went black and he woke up here. In Aladdin. As Aladdin. How cool was that!? He grinned a bit, finishing his half of the loaf. But then he frowned as another thought crossed his mind. If he was here than so were all the others, right? Where were they though? He had to find them, they had to get together and get out of here, as cool as this was.
He peered out of the alley once more and then turned to Squall who was Abu, he gathered. ”Think it’s safe to go? he asked tentatively as he peeked. He thought it was but he waited for the other boy’s confirmation before zooming out of the alley and starting to run again.
Now if he was here, did that mean the others were here too? Or were they in other fairy tales? He wasn’t sure. He hoped they were here, it would make it easier to find them and he had to find them! They didn’t know Disney as well as he did. Well, Red did. He wondered where she was.
He ducked behind a curtain when he saw another Palace Guard. They seemed all worried and looking for something…or someone if he knew Aladdin as well as he totally did. Not as well as Lion King of course, but pretty well if he did say so himself.
Well, that would make this harder if they were wandering around. He ran until they were behind him. He was looking over his shoulder to make sure that they hadn’t seen him and probably should have reacted to Squall’s monkey type warning earlier, but it was hard to do too much at once!
This was how he ran smack dab into another person.
He whirled around to see the cloaked a girl fall. He frowned and reached out to help her but she ignored it, dusting herself off. A familiar voice spoke. ”Watch it” she grumbled, and he saw a familiar scowl.
”Cris!?” he said happily, helping her up anyway even if she smacked him. He was just happy to have found another of the Pack. And she was Jasmine. He grinned a bit, teasing her a little and she scowled right back. ”We’re trapped in Aladdin” he supplied cause she seemed entirely turned around and confused.
She sighed. ”Of course. One of your Disney things.”
He grinned. ”Told ya you should have watched them with me” he teased her, but she was ignoring him to look at the monkey on his shoulder disbelievingly.
”Is that Squall?” she said, and Squall heaved a monkey sigh from his shoulder, obviously sick of that question already.
Justin nodded his head and decided he could fill her in later and make her watch Disney, but as for right then they needed to find the rest!
So off they ran, trying to find the others.
-------------------
She never hurt children, never touched a hair on their head. It was her one weakness, she loved children. She would make an exception for this one. That hadn’t been a child, it had been a little devil in child form!
She scowled and held her head as she sat up. She hadn’t even opened her silver eyes just yet. She just knew she had a heavy weight on her lap, and she had no idea where she was. Because she was pretty sure things at the house didn’t make the weird noises she was hearing all around her. She finally bit the bullet and opened her eyes, to see….lots of trees above her. Well this was just wonderful. She was in a forest somewhere. Who knew where.
What was on her lap anyway?
She sat up and saw a sword sitting on her lap. Well that was wicked at least. That she could live with. She touched it and felt a shiver of power go up her arm. What the fuck was this thing? She felt like she should know what it was, like it was that important. Like Exaliber or something. Or maybe that was it.
She stared at it in wonder for a moment more.
Before coming back down to earth.
Something was going on here. She had been standing with the pack and Colby moments before and now she wasn’t so something was very wrong about this right here. Beyond that was the fact that she was in a forest in the middle of no where. She hated not knowing where she was and she hated the idea that her love for children had undone her back there. She had told the rest of the pack to relax and not attack the child, and the next thing she knew the kid was chanting and glowing. And then…this.
This was wrong, whatever it was. But she figured she had stated that enough. Enough being immobile, it was time to move. Which was when she really noticed things around her, really she was usually so much more observant. Even just waking up from some trance was not enough to be an excuse for that. She was wearing some weird tunic type thing, rather than her usual funky outfits, and she knew she’d never wear something like this.
She stood then though, using the strap she had on the sword to sling it over her shoulder. It was time to go now, before anything else weird started to happen around here. Time to move along and find the others so they could get out of here and get back at that girl for what she did, whatever this was.
She looked around. This was no normal forest, whatever it was. Things seemed to be moving on the edges of her vision and she frowned, when all the sudden a purple and pink tongue like thing with a bulb at the end shot out towards her. She jumped out of the way, scooping up a large stick and smashing it into the thing, so it shot back defeated. Yeah, take that random thing! She grinned a bit.
But still…that was weird. What type of place was this where plants attacked you?
She shook her head. All the more reason to find the others and get out of here. She turned around but realized that she couldn’t see the edge of the forest anywhere. She wasn’t sure which way to walk to make sure that she went closer to the edge rather than further in. She scowled a bit. She needed to get out not in, but every forest had more than one edge right? She was determined to get out and she would.
She made a solid decision based more on her gut rather than anything else, and started to walk in that direction. She wondered if the rest of the pack was in this bizarre forest or if they were somewhere else out side of it.
She was shook out of her thoughts by the piece of land she was in rising into the air. If she hadn’t noticed she might of fallen, but as it was, she managed to, shakily, keep her balance and not fall. But she had to admit, she was looking a little wide eyed at the ground. What was this?!
She jumped off when it got to a cliff type thing and jumped on to solid ground, whirling around to glare at the piece of land for a moment. She would have preferred to stay on the ground floor for this, she was pretty positive the exit to this damn forest was on the ground floor at least!
She turned back around and all scowling thoughts of how to get down disappeared. What she saw shook all other thoughts from her mind and started her running forward as fast as she possibly could move. ”Colby!” she yelled running for the edge of the cliff.
Hey, you’d panic too if you saw the love of your life walking towards the edge of a cliff, giving no indication that he saw it was there at all.
