Basic Rules
1. Sex, Alcohol and Abuse of any sort is NOT allowed publicly. Please, keep this to yourself. These are the rules Proboards work by, and to keep the forum we gotta stick to it! We have a high PG-13 rating, but ya gotta black it out/not use too much description! We wouldn't want to scar any young children, people. =]
2. No fighting OOC. Period.
If there are any arguments going on, I would like people to do it in private, or over PM. I do this because no one deserves to have to listen to your angry little rant. If people start to get effected by such arguments, I will handle it personally. Negative drama is not welcome here.
3. Chat speak is only allowed IN the chat box.
Really now, people. If I see chat speak IN a post, you might as well prepare yourself for a small beating. Honestly, there is close to nothing that bothers me more. So please, unless you want to be whacked with a walrus, refrain from using chat speak. Please use proper grammar!
4. Post minimum length is 250 words.
Honestly, it’s not a ton. If someone posts for you, you should at least give them a little something to work with, right? If you have trouble with that, there are a lot of people who will help you bump it up.
5. Please be active!
I totally understand that life gets hectic, sometimes. For that reason, I will be really lenient here. Although, I’d really appreciate it if people could post in the Vacation Board if they aren’t going to be able to get on or post.
But we do reserve the right to deny a new character if your other characters are not deemed active enough for a new character. This means you need to post at least once a week!
6. There’s one character for every account.
It just makes life easier for the staff, and lets us be that much more organized as a site.
7. Literacy.
Grammar and spelling aren’t HUGE deals, although it’s much more pleasant for someone to read a post that makes sense. Try to keep it as correct as you can!
8. Threads.
Ok, we have a little key for our threads, (OPEN) means it can be joined by anyone at any time. (SHUT) means that when the maker of an (OPEN) thread decides that they no longer want people to post/join in the thread except for the ones that have already joined the thread. A (CLOSED) thread means that the thread has ended and that it can be moved be an admin to the 'Dead thread' board. If you have a thread that only one person can join put beside the title of the thread (NAME OF THEIR CHARACTER) and if there is two put (NAME OF CHARACTER/NAME OF OTHER CHARACTER). Ok?
If you don't post in a thread in 2 weeks, we reserve the right to move it to the dead board! BUT you're more than welcome to ask us to move it back
10. Look at the counts in the sidebar.
This limits are important, they make sure the type of characters on the site are even, they are edited annually so please, keep an eye on them. If they are uneven, we'd really love it if you help us even it up! We'd hate to ban a type of character.
11. Graphics Sizes.
Alright, this is something that’s important for the look of the site. Please, no signatures over 500px is width. Otherwise, it’ll stretch the thread, and make everything all retarded. Avatars are to be 120x200 or they'll be taken down if they're any bigger. Smaller's allowed
12. Change your display name to your characters FULL name.
First and last please. As well, please make the first letter of each name a CAPITAL.
14. No nagging Reesa or Hy for graphics.
They can have a week for EACH signature. Magic takes time.
15. Have Fun!
Pretty self explanatory.
Character Rules
1. Ages!
Ages must be 15-19 for Fledglings, 19-250 for Vampyres, and 15-100 for Humans. If any younger, or if older than the specified age please put extra detail into it, or get permission from an admin. If your character is very old, the history should reflect that! We know Vampyres age slower, they also live just as full a life, so make sure to fill it up!
2. No flat characters.
Make your characters fun! No one likes a boring character. This means no Mary-Sue/Gary Stu. Weaknesses are necessary but so are strengths.
3. App acceptance.
All apps must be accepted by at least one Admin. This means either myself or Reesa must accept it. You can let us know when you are finished, but please don't repeatedly ask us. We do have other stuff we're doing too One of which being not liking mushrooms.
4. Permissions
If you have a character plot idea, great! However, if this character plot idea affects a large amount of other characters, or may possibly affect the plot, you must clear it with an admin first. This includes death of other characters, pregnancies (though those shouldn't happen cause fledglings can't get pregnant), or huge medical issues. We reserve the right to ask you not to do it for the good of the site.
5. Face Claims.
Once your character has been accepted, please post them in the Face Claim board. We need to keep track of these things, so that no one ends up with the same FC.
6. Apps have a time limit of 10 days.
We don’t want tons of thread piling up that aren’t done, right?
7. All students must be posting in at least one class, and be active in doing so.
This is needed so that teachers aren't lazy and students can meet other characters! Also, its the only way to get your character moving up that former list! Remember, we're not Tylenol spies here.
8. If your app is denied, you will have 10 days to change it.
If not, we will move you to dead characters
Cbox Rules
1. Listen to the Cboy mods and Admins!
We are not there to make your life hell, but you need to listen to us please!
2. Please do not come onto the Cboy and rant to us about your problems.
People might seem like they want to listen... But they don’t. So, post in the Rant board instead!
3. We swear, we're not mean people, just a tad bit nuts.
Don't be afraid to jump into the conversation and talk to us! We LOVE new people.
4. NO Spamming!
I’m... Guilty. I do this ALL the time. I get hyper, no biggie. But anyways, just not overly, alright?
5. Do not advertise your site in our c-box, there is a place for that.
Plus...it’s just really annoying
6. Please don't lurk in the Cboy.
We see you there, and we are saddened when you don’t say hullo!
7. BE NICE AND RESPECTFUL.
Enough said?
8. Please try to keep the grammar correct.
Chat speak is allowed, sure. But only to an extent where we can understand.
9. Be nice!
I said it once, I'll say it again, if your charrie doesn't like what someone else’s charrie is doing that doesn't mean you hate the person who plays them!
10. Yes. The staff do call it the CBoy instead of the CBox.
Why? looong story involving a typo. Usually best not to ask and just go along with it.
IC Rules
1. Please stay in character if you're going to be in the IC.
That means Minimum of OOC talk, keep it to the other cboy for that.
2. No God Moding!
Dur.
3. Please keep it clean, or at least as clean as possible. Not too much blood and gore, kay?
We wouldn’t want to disturb any young children, now.
4. IC stuff can be worked into actual posts if you like, but usually it’s there just for fun.
No major plotting (reference to rule 6)! Minor plotting that BARELY affects character actions or lives can be done, but nothing more than that.
5. Please don't be a drama queen.
We have enough dramatic characters, thanks.
6. No Plotting In IC.
IC is just for fun. Plotting can take place, but it will HAVE to be done in a thread.
7. So them's the ICboy rules. All around this box is just to have fun, but don't forget to post still or the Pass may be changed. But for now, if you think you can do this my lovers, I think I can tell you the password is ASLAN. Just keep it under your hats, okay? (THAT TOTALLY RHYMED)
8. You are more than welcome to just watch in IC, BUT you must let people know you are just watching/lurking and have that on your name so people know. [/size][/blockquote]
